I know why you’re here. You have SO MANY projects to get done, right? You’re juggling multiple things and trying to keep all your stakeholders and customers happy.

But it doesn’t feel right.

It feels exhausting and overwhelming and if you’re constantly missing something.

This is where Mastering Multiple Projects comes in.

Does any of this sound like you?

  • The last year has been a challenge and part of staying afloat meant adding MORE things to your To Do list: homeschooling, picking up new projects to help your organization pivot, or supporting colleagues with their work. Plus keeping all your ‘normal’ workload moving forward.
  • You know how to manage projects, so you can’t help wondering why managing more than one takes up double the time – you’re pretty sure there must be a better way of managing your workload.
  • A typical day starts off OK, but then you get pulled into loads of conversations about things you weren’t supposed to be working on right now!
  • You’re working all the time and teetering on the edge of burnout… and you know it won’t be long before you get asked to lead something else.
  • You wish you knew what to do first to take control off All. The. Things.

Imagine having a step-by-step system to get a grip on your workload with someone in your corner while you do it.

Just the emails alone are making a difference.

I need to tell you how much your course has meant to me, I have so much more peace of mind having these projects organized. Your course is fantastic.

What if showing up to work looked like this:

Knowing exactly what to work on every day to keep all your projects moving forward (even the so-called “lower priority” ones that your manager still expects to be finished on time)

  • Having confidence that no work is falling through the cracks
  • Using new tools, techniques and strategies to use to keep the big picture in sight while making sure you can dive into the right details when you need to
  • Being able to prove why you can’t take on yet another project
  • Seeing the progress you are making every day and being excited to share that with stakeholders
  • Leaving the office on time and not worrying about what surprises tomorrow will bring
  • Knowing that you are moving your career in a direction where you can make more money

There’s no magic wand that will suddenly make multi-project management simple. But there is a kind of magic to feeling like all the pieces are lined up and suddenly work becomes less about getting through the day and more about making the kind of impact you want at work.

That’s why I’ve created Mastering Multiple Projects.

5 step process for managing multiple projects: create portfolio, combine schedules, engage stakeholders, manage time, influence environment.

Mastering Multiple Projects is a 5 step self-paced course with video training and all the documents you need to streamline your work.

Let’s dive in.

Step 1: Create your personal work portfolio

Before you can effectively manage all your work, you need to get clear on what’s actually making up your workload. In this step, you’ll create a personal portfolio and learn how to prioritize everything in it.

Step 2: Combine project schedules

Schedules are often dependent on each other. Let’s start using that to your advantage instead of letting it work against you. In this step, you’ll learn how to schedule across multiple projects, and track progress in a streamlined way.

Step 3: Engage stakeholders over multiple projects

It’s not just you juggling multiple things, your customers and stakeholders are too. In this step you’ll learn smart strategies to engage stakeholders, even when everyone is busy. You’ll discover how to identify the people who are really worth your time and how to set expectations about what is going to be done.

Step 4: Manage your own time

Being able to work efficiently lets you manage tasks with less stress. In this step you’ll learn what kills your productivity and how to improve your focus for the tasks that matter. You’ll finish this step knowing how to keep all your projects moving forward. We’ll also cover time management and how to set up your home office environment for success.

Step 5: Influence the environment for success

Systems and processes will set you for success by streamlining the way you work. In this step, you’ll learn how to use standard approaches to your advantage to cut down the time it takes to get things done.

Extra bonuses

PMO Bonus: Additional resources and ideas for people who are responsible for organizing and reporting on multiple projects. You’ll learn how to prioritize incoming projects, manage work in progress limits and select software for your team.

The 8-step plan to getting out of overwhelm: A quick start guide to tackling the overwhelm right now.

Overcoming Imposter Syndrome: A confidence-boosting look at the reality of feeling like you don’t quite measure up to expectations at work.

Support to get it done

If you choose the VIP option, you’ll have the chance to ask me your questions during our weekly group coaching calls (for 5 weeks).

You’ll also be able to learn from each other and contribute your own expertise to those calls. It’s always better when we share!

You can send quick questions to me via email or the Voxer app, and I’ll get back to you as soon as practical.

To be clear, this is not a 1-to-1 coaching program. However, my goal is for you to complete the course and be successful implementing the techniques, so I will show up for you to the best of my ability.

What people say about learning with me

I really found the course to be a great experience. Thanks again for everything - I’m still sifting through all the extra resources and finding new, useful ideas!
Leah, previous course participant
It helped me get ahead and approach a new project differently. I really enjoyed it and there are a lot of templates I’m going to utilise.

YOU CAN DO THE COURSE FROM HOME, FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, AND ON YOUR SCHEDULE.

You can complete the course lessons from the comfort of your couch or kitchen table, as long as you have an Internet connection! The entire program is completely digital so you can access it from anywhere through our private course portal. And you’ll never miss a beat: you can go at your own pace and do the lessons on your schedule.

How much time will it take?

The honest answer is, it depends on you and your current situation. You can watch the video lessons and complete the homework in a couple of days, but truly putting the concepts into practice at work may take longer. It is a commitment to adapt the way you work – the course tells you exactly what to do and gives you the templates for every step of the way, but to get the best out of the program you’ll have to do the work.

However, there is no rush! You have full access to the online materials for 12 months, and the templates and downloads are yours to keep forever.

There’s never been a better time to rethink work  Life’s too short to let work rule everything so if you postpone building that confidence in your ability to manage multiple projects, you’ll stay in the same place you are now: doing the juggle for multiple bosses and never truly feeling like you’ve got it all under control.

How do I know if I'm ready to take this course?

Mastering Multiple Projects is perfect for you if:

  • You already know how to run a project and you’re confident in the basics of planning, scheduling and leading your team.
  • You’re open to learning how to consolidate, combine and streamline your work.
  • You’re OK with the prospect of having to have a challenging conversation or two with stakeholders or your boss.

Mastering Multiple Projects is not a good fit for you if:

  • You only have one project on the go at the moment: you’ll get the most out of the course if you can put the skills into practice immediately.
  • You’re unwilling to learn new skills or put the effort in to change how you do things today.

Your course schedule

Most project managers are running multiple projects at the moment. You’re not alone. But also, your situation is not going to change. Multi-project management is the norm for most of us, so you may as well learn how to thrive in this unique environment.

I’m Elizabeth Harrin, and I’m the project manager and APM Fellow behind Mastering Multiple Projects

I help busy project managers (that’s you!) get more done with less stress. I love unpicking situations and helping people make more of an impact at work because I believe being a great project manager takes strategic thinking and smarts, not just the technical skills you probably learned in your first PM training.

I am your very own problem solver. Whatever your industry, I’m here to support you.

Got a question?

The course is self-paced. You get access to all the video training as soon as you register, so if you wanted to, you could binge it all over a weekend!

No. This is a pre-recorded, online, course. The teaching sessions are recorded and you get access to the videos, transcripts and templates etc inside the course website.

You have access for a year. Honestly, if you haven’t taken action by then, you probably never will. You can download all the templates and resources and keep them forever.

No. The strategies I teach are software-agnostic. You can adapt them for whatever tools you have at work.

Probably not. It’s a practical course that’s designed to give you strategies, tools and techniques to use at work right now. If you aren’t working on more than one project, you won’t be able to use the skills so you won’t get as much benefit.

I want you to be happy. Take a look at the materials and get in touch within 15 days if you think the course isn’t for you and I’ll refund you.

You can work at your own pace – I know how busy real life gets! If you follow the suggested schedule and cover a module per week, you should expect to spend about an hour per week going through the training videos and completing the assignments.

Agile and iterative environments have their own ways of prioritizing and juggling work. While many of the techniques will be relevant and can be adapted for an agile project context, this course is better suited for people working in a more predictive environment.

The course videos and teaching content will take you about 3.5 hours but that doesn’t taken into account any time for accessing and using the templates, putting the skills into action, or any of the bonus materials. So you could end up spending a lot more time on the course materials and in creating your own systems, documents and so on by following the directions. Keep track of the amount of time you spend on the course and the exercises, and then claim that.
