Activia Training logoWhoop! It’s giveaway time again and this month I have one of my best competition prizes ever: FOUR places on Activia Training’s Project Management Fast Track course.

The course is specifically designed for people with little or no project management experience, so it’s perfect if you are looking to break into your first project management job or want a helping hand at the start of your career.

This one-day course runs at five city locations across England (London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Bristol). Class sizes are really low for this sort of training: normally around six delegates, and the courses run even if you are the only person booked on, so they won’t cancel on you. Activia is a long-running, reputable training firm with a family feel, so you’ll feel at home, even if you haven’t had any formal project management training before.

The PM Fast Track course covers:

  • The project management basics and getting started
  • The life cycle of a project
  • Identifying tasks and the work breakdown structure
  • Scheduling, planning and managing risks
  • Project closure

In short, everything you need to know to get started managing projects in a day. Read more about it at http://www.activia.co.uk/management/project-management-training (click the Fast Track course to expand the page and see the details). Find out how to enter

Power of Project Leadership: Giveaway winner

Earlier this month you had the chance to enter the draw to win a copy of Susanne Madsen’s book, The Power of Project Leadership. Thanks to everyone who entered: it was one of the most popular giveaways yet.

The winner is Egle from Vilnius, Lithuania. Congratulations! Your book is being dispatched direct from the publisher so expect it to be with you soon.

Look out for another great giveaway coming soon!

Win a copy of The Power of Project Leadership

It’s giveaway time already! That’s come round quickly. This month’s prize is Susanne Madsen’s awesome book, The Power of Project Leadership. You can read my review of it here if you’d like to be convinced why it should be on your bookshelf. Or just take my word for it and enter right now.

Use the contact form to get in touch with the phrase ‘I’m a powerful leader’ and I’ll put your name in the hat.

Normal giveaway rules apply and please don’t worry if you’re overseas. Each time I give something away someone gets in touch to say they live in a far flung country and is it OK if they enter? Of course it is. So far Royal Mail has always delivered…eventually.

This giveaway closes on Tuesday 14 April 2015. Good luck!

Giveaway winner: Emotional Intelligence

The winner of this month’s giveaway is Catherine from London. Catherine wins a copy of Anthony Mersino’s fantastic book, Emotional Intelligence for Project Managers. If you missed out this time, look out for April’s giveaway and remember you can always get a copy of Anthony’s book on Amazon.
